The Glory Barn Project
Last Year we completed the repair of the Glory Barn Roof. This year we are renovating the barn kitchen, including a new roof and building a bedroom for guests of the Glory Barn.
We are in need of people with building skills to help with the project so if you would like to get involved please contact us if you can help. 0274 585335

I was praying in regards to repairing the the Glory Barn and was reminded of the scripture in Haggi below.
The context to this scripture was Israel had returned from exile and had built a much smaller temple on the old foundation of Solomon's temple. Their new temple did not compare to the spender of Solomon's temple but
God promise to them HIS GLORY would be greater. To me this is very encouraging, God can pour out his Glory
in small and insignificant places and buildings where he is worshiped. It not about how grand things are
but how hungry the people are. Over the past few years God has challenged me to be prepared and this project is part of getting prepared. Warwick
Haggai 2:6-9 AMP
For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Once more, in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the desirable and precious things of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory and splendor,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of hosts. ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and in this place I shall give [the ultimate] peace and prosperity,’ declares the Lord of hosts.

Recent Letter to our friends regarding Quick Build Plans at Matariki Weekend
Over the last few months we have been working on a plan to have more accomodation at Waiara, so we can increase our day to day onsite team from just Lorraine and I and visitors from time to time. Our vision has always been for a community of people based at Waiara
( see our website for more details www.waiara.kiwi)
With this in mind we have been working on renovating the Barn Kitchen and building a new bedroom off the kitchen with a deck outside to connect the two.
I was really encourage from a prophetic word from Nate Johnson this month on Elijah List
The Days of Fresh Vision, Building Plans & New Wineskin
see excerpt below ...
Grassroots Expressions, Hubs, Barns and Eagles' Nests
"So receive the fresh baptism of My Spirit today, and leave the old infrastructure behind, and build according to the new plans I am giving you.
It's time to pick up the new tools. It's time to dream big and build with the Lord. It's time to see grassroots expressions in place of dead and lifeless ministries. It's time to build the hubs, homes and barns that will choose to build My plans and become the new wineskin, ready to receive the new wine! It's time to set the tables and restore and build this generation from the ground up. It's time for eagles' nests to arise around the globe and for eagles to soar. It's time to rebuild My Church and lead her into her healthiest days.So pick up your mantle, grab your tools and let's begin!" Nate Johnson
This spurred me on to come up with a plan to kick start the building project. On Matariki weekend 14-16th of July we are planning a quick build to try and complete the project. We are looking for Builders, handymen and woman to donate thier time for the project as well as people to help with the cooking for the crew. We are planning a Hangi on the Friday night and Bonfire to celebrate Matariki and we will be shouting Fish and Chips on the Saturday night. Leon and Rowan from Arc will be joining us on Saturday night to have a celebration worship night, so it is going to be lots of fun and great fellowship. This project is really the heart of Waiara with our 3 core values like the monasteries of old being WORSHIP, WORK and COMMUNITY.
